Day 01 : Arrival at NJP Railway Station / IXB Airport – Darjeeling (75 kms / Approx. 3 hours)
On arrival at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) or Bagdogra Airport (IXB), you will be received by our representative and driven to the beautiful hill station of Darjeeling, situated at an altitude of 6,710 ft. The drive covers approximately 75 kilometers and takes about 3 hours through winding roads, lush tea gardens, and scenic mountain vistas. On reaching Darjeeling, check in to your hotel and spend the evening at leisure, soaking in the cool breeze and misty charm of the hills.Overnight stay in Darjeeling.
Day 02 : Darjeeling Sightseeing
Early morning, at around 4:00 AM, proceed for a breathtaking drive to Tiger Hill to witness the sunrise over Mt. Kanchenjunga, the third-highest peak in the world. On your way back, visit the historic Ghoom Monastery and the unique Batasia Loop, a spiral railway track offering panoramic views. After breakfast, continue your sightseeing with visits to the Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, and the Tenzing Rock. Also explore the Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Centre and enjoy a panoramic view of Darjeeling’s tea gardens with a visit to a local Tea Estate. Day 03 : Excursion to Mirik (49 kms / Approx. 2 hours one way)
After breakfast, proceed for a scenic day excursion to Mirik, a charming hill town located about 49 km from Darjeeling. The 2-hour drive takes you through picturesque valleys, orange orchards, and cardamom plantations. The highlight of the visit is Sumendu Lake, surrounded by pine forests with an arching footbridge, perfect for boating and photography. Visit the Bokar Monastery and explore the quaint town market. En route, stop at Pashupati Market (Indo-Nepal border), known for imported goods and local handicrafts. Return to Darjeeling by evening for overnight stay.Overnight stay in Mirik.
Day 04 : Darjeeling – Gangtok (100 kms / Approx. 4 hours)
After a leisurely breakfast, check out and drive to Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim, located approximately 100 km away. The drive takes around 4 hours through scenic mountain roads and small Himalayan settlements. On arrival, check in to your hotel and relax. In the evening, take a walk along MG Marg, Gangtok’s vibrant pedestrian boulevard lined with cafes, boutiques, and souvenir shops. Day 05 : Gangtok Local Sightseeing
Begin your day with a full-day tour of Gangtok’s prominent attractions. Visit Tashi View Point for spectacular Himalayan views, followed by the Ganesh Tok and Hanuman Tok temples offering panoramic vistas and spiritual calm. Explore the Enchey Monastery, a 200-year-old Buddhist monastery rich in heritage. Visit the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, home to rare Buddhist manuscripts and thangkas, and then proceed to the Directorate of Handicrafts & Handloom, showcasing traditional Sikkimese crafts. End the day with a visit to the serene Do Drul Chorten Stupa, one of the most important stupas in Sikkim.Overnight stay in Gangtok.
Day 06 : Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir (Nathula Pass optional)
After breakfast, embark on an excursion to the stunning Tsomgo Lake, located at an altitude of 12,310 ft and about 40 km from Gangtok. The glacial lake remains frozen in winter and offers a spectacular reflection of the surrounding snow-covered peaks. Next, visit the sacred Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir, a revered shrine built in honor of an Indian army soldier. If you choose (and subject to permit availability), you can opt for a visit to the Nathula Pass (14,140 ft) – a strategic Indo-China border post with snowbound views and historical significance (extra cost applies). Return to Gangtok by evening for overnight stay.
Day 07 : Gangtok – NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport Drop (120 kms / Approx. 5 hours)
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and drive back to NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport for your return journey, covering about 120 kilometers in approximately 5 hours. Bid farewell to the mystical hills of Sikkim and North Bengal with unforgettable memories of majestic mountains, serene monasteries, and Himalayan charm.
