Classic Tripura – 7 Days

Day 01 : Arrival in Agartala – Local Sightseeing

On arrival at Agartala Airport or Railway Station, you will be received by our representative and transferred to your hotel. After check-in and some relaxation, proceed for a half-day local sightseeing tour of the capital city. Begin with the grand Ujjayanta Palace, a neoclassical architectural marvel that now houses the state museum, showcasing Tripura’s royal heritage and tribal culture. Next, visit the beautifully landscaped Heritage Park, a miniature representation of Tripura’s natural and cultural landmarks. In the evening, visit the Jagannath Temple, known for its striking yellow façade and serene atmosphere. Overnight stay in Agartala.

Day 02 : Agartala – Neermahal – Sepahijala Wildlife Sanctuary (Approx. 110 kms round trip / 4 hrs)

After breakfast, enjoy a full-day excursion to Neermahal, located around 55 km from Agartala. This exquisite water palace built in the middle of Rudrasagar Lake was the summer residence of the royal family and features a charming mix of Hindu and Mughal architectural elements. Enjoy a boat ride on the lake for the best views of the palace. Later, proceed to the Sepahijala Wildlife Sanctuary, known for its diverse wildlife including the clouded leopard, barking deer, and various exotic birds. Explore the zoo, orchid garden, and boating lake before returning to Agartala in the evening. Overnight stay in Agartala.

Day 03 : Agartala – Unakoti – Agartala (Approx. 320 kms round trip / 8–9 hrs)

Post breakfast, depart early for a day trip to Unakoti, one of the most awe-inspiring archaeological wonders of Northeast India, located near Kailashahar. The site features monumental rock carvings of Hindu deities, including the famous 30-ft high image of Lord Shiva called “Unakotishwara.” These carvings, dating back to the 7th–9th centuries, are nestled within dense forest, making it both a spiritual and scenic retreat. After exploring this mystical site, return to Agartala by evening. Overnight stay in Agartala.

Day 04 : Agartala – Jampui Hills (Approx. 190 kms / 6 hrs)

After breakfast, check out and drive to Jampui Hills, the highest hill range in Tripura, known for its stunning vistas, cool climate, and orange orchards. En route, enjoy glimpses of traditional tribal villages and scenic valleys. On arrival, check in to your hilltop resort. Later, visit the Betlingchhip Peak, the highest point in Tripura offering panoramic views of Mizoram and the Chittagong Hill Tracts of Bangladesh. Enjoy the sunset from a viewpoint or just relax amid the tranquility. Overnight stay in Jampui Hills.

Day 05 : Jampui Hills – Tripura Sundari Temple – Matabari (Approx. 230 kms / 6.5 hrs)

After an early breakfast, check out and proceed to Udaipur, the former capital of Tripura. En route, stop at Matabari, home to the sacred Tripura Sundari Temple, one of the 51 Shakti Peethas of Hindu mythology. This centuries-old temple dedicated to Goddess Kali attracts thousands of pilgrims and sits on the banks of Kalyan Sagar Lake. Spend time soaking in the spiritual ambiance before continuing your journey. On arrival in Udaipur, check into your hotel. Overnight stay in Udaipur.

Day 06 : Jampui Hills – Chabimura – Udaipur (Approx. 150 kms / 5 hrs)

After breakfast, check out and drive to Chabimura, located along the Gomati River. Chabimura is often called the “Ajanta of the East” for its series of rock-cut carvings etched into steep cliffs, featuring deities like Goddess Durga, Shiva, and Vishnu. A boat ride along the river offers the best view of these magnificent sculptures set against lush greenery. After this immersive experience, continue your drive back to Udaipur and relax at the hotel. Overnight stay in Udaipur.

Day 07 : Udaipur – Agartala – Departure (Approx. 55 kms / 1.5 hrs)

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive back to Agartala for your departure. Transfer to Agartala Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey, carrying unforgettable memories of Tripura’s temples, hills, heritage, and hidden treasures.
