Day 01 : Drive from Udaipur to Jawai – Arrival & Evening Safari
Your journey begins with a scenic drive from Udaipur to Jawai (approx. 160 km / 3.5 hours), a hidden wildlife gem nestled in the Aravalli Hills. Upon arrival, check in to your luxury tented camp or heritage lodge set amidst rugged granite landscapes. Enjoy a traditional welcome followed by a delicious lunch. After some rest, gear up for your first thrilling evening leopard safari. Explore the unique terrain of Jawai, where leopards roam freely among villages and rocky outcrops, often seen lounging on boulders or peeking from caves. With experienced naturalists and off-road vehicles, you have a high chance of spotting these elusive predators. Return to the camp by sunset and spend the evening around a bonfire, indulging in authentic Rajasthani cuisine and stargazing under the clear desert sky. Overnight stay at the resort in Jawai.
Day 02 : Morning Safari – Jawai Dam Visit – Rabari Cultural Experience
Rise early for a sunrise wildlife safari when Jawai’s landscape comes alive with activity. Catch a glimpse of leopards on the move, flocks of migratory birds, Indian foxes, jungle cats, and even crocodiles near the dam region. After the safari, return to the camp for a hearty breakfast. Later, visit the Jawai Bandh (Jawai Dam), a serene water body that attracts hundreds of bird species including flamingos, cranes, and kingfishers. Spend time exploring this birdwatcher's paradise, and soak in panoramic views of the surrounding hills. In the afternoon, you may choose to relax at the resort, enjoy a spa session, or take a guided village walk to a nearby Rabari hamlet to interact with the nomadic shepherd community known for their vibrant attire and harmonious coexistence with wildlife. If interested, you can opt for a second evening safari for another chance to see Jawai’s famed leopards in a new zone. Enjoy dinner under the stars and unwind with stories from your guide. Day 03 : Drive Back to Udaipur
Start your day at leisure with a morning tea overlooking the boulder hills, followed by breakfast at the property. If time permits, you may explore nearby temples carved into granite or take a short nature walk before checking out. Later, drive back to Udaipur with beautiful memories of wild encounters, village hospitality, and the untouched beauty of Jawai. Tour ends on drop you at Udaipur Railway Station or Airport.
