Day 01 : Arrival at Dimapur – Transfer to Khonoma (Approx. 90 km / 3.5 hrs)
Welcome to Nagaland! Upon your arrival at Dimapur Airport or Railway Station, meet our representative and begin your scenic drive to Khonoma, famously known as India’s First Green Village. En route, witness lush landscapes and remote tribal hamlets that set the tone for your immersive Naga experience. Upon arrival, check into a traditional homestay or eco-lodge. In the afternoon, explore the heritage-rich village known for its pioneering conservation efforts, terraced farms, and Khonoma Fort, which commemorates the Angami warriors' resistance to British rule. Enjoy the serene surroundings and warm village hospitality. Overnight stay in Khonoma.
Day 02 : Khonoma to Seikhakie Campsite (Trek / Drive + Hike – Approx. 3 hrs)
After breakfast, start a light trek or drive followed by a short hike through the Khonoma Nature Conservation and Tragopan Sanctuary to reach Seikhakie, a rustic and scenic campsite surrounded by dense forest and mountain streams. En route, observe rich birdlife and indigenous flora. This serene campsite offers an immersive natural experience, perfect for nature lovers and adventure seekers. Spend the rest of the day unwinding in nature, learning about eco-tourism initiatives, and enjoying a peaceful night under the stars. Overnight at Seikhakie Campsite.
Day 03 : Trek to Dzukou Valley (Approx. 6–7 hrs trek)
After an early breakfast, begin your trek to the spectacular Dzukou Valley, considered one of the most enchanting trekking destinations in Northeast India. The trail takes you through pine forests, rocky ridges, and undulating meadows until you reach the valley, known for its seasonal carpet of wildflowers—especially the rare Dzukou Lily. Arrive at the hilltop guesthouse and enjoy panoramic views of the valley. Spend the evening exploring the surroundings or resting in the peaceful highland air. Overnight stay at Dzukou Valley guest hut or camp.
Day 04 : Dzukou Valley to Dzulekei (Approx. 4–5 hrs trek + 2 hrs drive)
Rise early to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the valley, followed by breakfast amidst nature. Begin your descent and continue the journey toward Dzulekei, a small but stunning village surrounded by thick forests and limestone gorges. Dzulekei is known for its pristine river, traditional architecture, and Angami cultural lifestyle. After checking in to a local homestay, take a nature walk through the surrounding forests or relax with the villagers and learn about their customs. Overnight stay in Dzulekei.
Day 05 : Dzulekei to Benreu (Approx. 30 km / 2 hrs drive)
After a leisurely morning in Dzulekei, drive toward the hill village of Benreu, nestled at the base of Mt. Pauna, the third-highest peak in Nagaland. Benreu offers unique insight into the Zeliang tribe's culture and lifestyle. Upon arrival, check into a charming village lodge or eco-homestay. Spend the day exploring the village and visiting the Benreu Village Museum, showcasing tribal artifacts, headgear, and traditional tools. Enjoy the quietude and scenic charm of this less-traveled gem. Overnight stay in Benreu.
Day 06 : Hike to Mt. Pauna – Return to Benreu
Today is a day of adventure and nature! After breakfast, embark on a guided trek to the summit of Mt. Pauna (approx. 2.5 hrs each way), offering panoramic views of the hills, forests, and far-flung villages. This sacred peak holds great cultural significance for the Zeliang people and rewards trekkers with unmatched tranquility and scenery. Descend back to Benreu by afternoon. The rest of the day is free for local interaction, traditional Naga cuisine, or simply resting amidst nature. Overnight stay in Benreu.
Day 07 : Benreu to Dimapur – Departure (Approx. 85 km / 3.5 hrs)
After breakfast, bid farewell to the hills of Nagaland as you begin your return journey to Dimapur. Enjoy the last views of the Naga countryside during the drive. Upon arrival, you will be dropped at Dimapur Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey, carrying with you unforgettable memories of rich culture, untouched landscapes, and heartfelt tribal hospitality.
