Day 01 : Arrival in Aizawl – Local Sightseeing
Upon your arrival at Lengpui Airport, you will be warmly received and transferred to your hotel in Aizawl, the capital of Mizoram. After a brief rest, begin your local sightseeing tour. Visit the iconic Solomon’s Temple, known for its distinctive architecture and spiritual ambiance. Continue to the Mizoram State Museum, located at McDonald Hill, where you’ll get an insightful overview of Mizo tribal culture, history, and lifestyle. Wrap up the day at Bara Bazar, the bustling local market where you can witness the daily life of locals and shop for traditional handloom items. Please note, breakfast is not included on the day of arrival.Overnight stay in Aizawl.
Day 02 : Aizawl – Reiek Village and Trekking (Approx. 30 km / 1.5 hours one way)
After breakfast, depart for a scenic drive to Reiek Village, located west of Aizawl amidst lush hills. Begin your exploration at the Reiek Heritage Village, a model village showcasing traditional Mizo homes and tribal architecture. From here, gear up for a trek to Reiek Tlang (Reiek Peak), a moderately challenging trail leading to a summit that offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding valleys—and on a clear day, even the plains of Bangladesh. This experience combines cultural immersion with adventure and nature. After descending, relax in the peaceful environment before returning to Aizawl.Overnight stay at Aizawl.
Day 03 : Aizawl – Hmuifang Tlang (Approx. 50 km / 2 hours one way)
Post breakfast, set off for a day excursion to Hmuifang Tlang, a tranquil mountain destination situated south of Aizawl at a height of 1,619 meters. En route, pass through picturesque Mizo villages and rolling hills. Upon reaching, visit the Hmuifang Tourist Resort, set amidst pine forests and meadows. Enjoy a short walk or hike to Hmuifang Peak, which offers magnificent views and an opportunity to connect with nature. The area is also known for occasional cultural performances and traditional festivals. In the late afternoon, return to Aizawl.Overnight stay at Aizawl.
Day 04 : Aizawl – Tamdil Lake (Approx. 85 km / 3 hours one way)
After breakfast, travel eastward to Tamdil Lake, a picturesque natural lake near Saitual town, surrounded by dense forests. The drive itself is scenic, offering glimpses of untouched countryside. Upon arrival, enjoy the tranquil ambiance and take a leisurely boat ride on the calm waters. Tamdil is not just a tourist spot but a peaceful retreat, perfect for relaxation, nature photography, and picnics. Explore the lush surroundings before heading back to Aizawl in the evening.Overnight stay at Aizawl.
Day 05 : Aizawl – Saitual – Lunglei (Approx. 170 km / 6–7 hours)
Enjoy breakfast and begin your journey to Lunglei, the second-largest town in Mizoram, located in the southern part of the state. Drive via Saitual, a small town known for its scenic beauty and peaceful environment. The road to Lunglei winds through valleys, hills, and rural landscapes, offering splendid views of the Mizo countryside. En route, brief photo stops and refreshments will make the long drive comfortable and enjoyable. Arrive in Lunglei by evening and check into your hotel.Overnight stay in Lunglei.
Day 06 : Lunglei – Departure
After breakfast, enjoy a relaxed morning in Lunglei. Time permitting, you may explore nearby landmarks such as the Saikuti Hall, a local cultural center, or take a short walk to scenic spots like Zobawk Sports Academy Viewpoint or Lunglei Bridge. Later, you will be transferred to the nearest airport or onward destination with cherished memories of your Mizoram adventure.
