Classic Himachal - 9 Days

Day 01 : Arrival at Delhi – Drive to Chandigarh (Approx. 250 Kms / 4.5 Hrs)

Upon your arrival at Delhi Airport or Railway Station, you will be welcomed by our representative. Begin your journey by road towards Chandigarh, one of India’s best-planned cities designed by Le Corbusier. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel. In the evening, if time permits, you may visit the Sukhna Lake for a peaceful boat ride or enjoy a stroll in the beautifully designed Rock Garden, built from urban and industrial waste. Overnight stay in Chandigarh.

Day 02 : Chandigarh to Manali (Approx. 310 Kms / 8.5 Hrs)

Enjoy a hearty breakfast at the hotel before checking out and starting your scenic journey to Manali. Drive through the beautiful landscapes of Himachal Pradesh, passing through Bilaspur, Sundernagar, and Kullu. En route, stop by the Pandoh Dam and Kullu Valley for photo opportunities and perhaps a visit to a traditional Kullu Shawl Factory. Upon reaching Manali, check in to your hotel and relax after the long journey. Overnight stay in Manali.

Day 03 : Manali – Local Sightseeing

After breakfast at the hotel, embark on a full day of local sightseeing in Manali. Start with a visit to the historic Hadimba Devi Temple, nestled among tall deodar trees, followed by the Manu Temple, the only temple in India dedicated to Sage Manu. Visit the Vashisht Temple and natural hot water springs, and then explore the colorful Tibetan Monastery. Spend the evening at Mall Road, shopping for souvenirs and enjoying the local cafes. Overnight stay in Manali.

Day 04 : Manali – Excursion to Rohtang Pass / Solang Valley (Own Cost)

Post breakfast, set out for a thrilling excursion to Rohtang Pass (subject to weather conditions and permits, to be arranged at own cost). Located at an altitude of 13,050 feet and around 50 km from Manali, Rohtang offers stunning views of glaciers, peaks, and snowfields. En route, stop at Solang Valley to enjoy adventure activities such as paragliding, ropeway rides, and ATV biking. Return to Manali by evening. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 05 : Manali to Dharamshala (Approx. 240 Kms / 7 Hrs)

After breakfast, check out and drive to Dharamshala, the spiritual capital of Tibetan Buddhism in India and the seat of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. The journey takes you through lush green valleys and mountain roads. On arrival, check in to your hotel. In the evening, take a short walk through the Tibetan markets or enjoy a peaceful sunset view from your hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel in Dharamshala.

Day 06 : Dharamshala to Dalhousie (Approx. 125 Kms / 4 Hrs)

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, then begin the day with local sightseeing in Dharamshala. Visit McLeod Ganj, the residence of the Dalai Lama, and explore Namgyal Monastery, Bhagsunag Temple, and the scenic Bhagsu Waterfall. Also see the Tibetan Museum and St. John in the Wilderness Church. Later, drive to Dalhousie, a quiet and charming town known for its colonial-era architecture and panoramic views. Check in and relax. Overnight stay at the hotel in Dalhousie.

Day 07 : Dalhousie – Khajjiar – Dalhousie

After breakfast, proceed for a day excursion to Khajjiar, often referred to as the "Mini Switzerland of India." Located about 22 km from Dalhousie, Khajjiar features a mesmerizing meadow surrounded by dense pine and deodar forests. Visit the Khajji Nag Temple and enjoy adventure activities such as horse riding and zorbing. On the way back, visit Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary if time permits. Return to Dalhousie for an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 08 : Dalhousie to Amritsar (Approx. 210 Kms / 4.5 Hrs)

After breakfast, check out and drive to Amritsar, the spiritual and cultural center of the Sikh religion. Upon arrival, check into your hotel. In the afternoon, visit the Wagah Border to witness the dramatic Beating Retreat Ceremony held daily between Indian and Pakistani soldiers. In the evening, experience the serene beauty of the Golden Temple illuminated at night, and take a quiet moment by the sacred Sarovar. Overnight stay at the hotel in Amritsar.

Day 09 : Departure from Amritsar

Enjoy your final breakfast at the hotel and check out. Depending on your flight or train schedule, visit the historic Jallianwala Bagh or do some last-minute shopping near the Golden Temple. Our representative will drop you at the Amritsar Railway Station or Airport for your onward journey, marking the end of a memorable trip through Himachal and Punjab.
