Saurashtra Special - 7 Days

Day 01 : Ahmedabad – Jamnagar (Approx. 325 km / 6.5 hours)

Upon arrival at Ahmedabad, begin your journey toward Jamnagar, the city of temples and palaces. Enjoy the scenic drive through the heart of Saurashtra, covering approximately 325 km. On arrival in Jamnagar, check in to your hotel and spend the evening at leisure. You may take a casual stroll around Lakhota Lake or visit the nearby Bala Hanuman Temple, known for its continuous chanting of the Ram Dhun since 1964, which has earned it a place in the Guinness Book of World Records. Overnight stay in Jamnagar.

Day 02 : Jamnagar Sightseeing

After a refreshing breakfast at the hotel, set out to explore the key attractions of Jamnagar. Begin your sightseeing with Lakhota Fort and Museum, located on an island in Lakhota Lake. Visit the Pratap Vilas Palace, known for its blend of European architecture and Indian craftsmanship. Later, visit Khijadiya Bird Sanctuary (if in season), ideal for bird lovers and nature enthusiasts. Also, explore the Swaminarayan Temple, Bhidbhanjan Temple, and vibrant local markets. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Jamnagar.

Day 03 : Jamnagar – Porbandar (Approx. 120 km / 3 hours)

After enjoying your breakfast at the hotel, check out and drive to Porbandar, a historic coastal city and the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi. On arrival, visit Kirti Mandir, the ancestral house and memorial of the Father of the Nation. Explore Sudama Temple, dedicated to Lord Krishna’s childhood friend, and take a peaceful walk along Chowpati Beach. The town’s colonial charm and spiritual essence make it a rewarding stop. Overnight stay in Porbandar.

Day 04 : Porbandar – Somnath – Porbandar (Approx. 130 km one way / 4 hours round trip)

After breakfast at the hotel, embark on a day excursion to Somnath, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, located on the Arabian Sea coast. Visit the Somnath Temple, a symbol of resilience and devotion, known for its architectural grandeur. You may also visit Triveni Sangam, the confluence of three holy rivers, and Bhalka Tirth, where Lord Krishna is believed to have left his earthly body. In the evening, return to Porbandar for your overnight stay.

Day 05 : Porbandar – Sasan Gir (Approx. 145 km / 3.5 hours)

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and drive to Sasan Gir, the only home of the Asiatic Lions. The drive passes through lush landscapes and small towns. Upon arrival, check in to your jungle resort or lodge. The evening is at leisure to explore the nature trails or interact with local Maldhari tribes. You may also opt to visit the Crocodile Breeding Centre or Devaliya Park (Gir Interpretation Zone) for a shorter safari experience. Overnight stay in Gir.

Day 06 : Gir National Park – Jungle Safari Experience

Start your day early with breakfast at the hotel, followed by a thrilling morning wildlife safari in Gir National Park(advance booking required). The park is famous for its population of Asiatic Lions, but also hosts leopards, hyenas, jackals, and over 300 species of birds. After returning from the safari, spend the afternoon at leisure or take another safari (optional) in the evening. Overnight stay in Sasan Gir.

Day 07 : Sasan Gir – Ahmedabad (Approx. 370 km / 7.5 hours)

After your final breakfast at the hotel, check out and begin your journey back to Ahmedabad, completing your memorable Gujarat tour. The long but comfortable drive takes you across changing landscapes and rural settings. Upon arrival in Ahmedabad, you will be dropped at your preferred location – airport, railway station, or hotel – for your onward journey.
