Kutch Heritage Tour - 8 Days

Day 01 : Arrival at Ahmedabad – Drive to Little Rann of Kutch (Approx. 90 km / 2 hours)

Upon arrival at Ahmedabad Airport or Railway Station, you will be welcomed by our representative. After a short briefing, begin your drive towards the Little Rann of Kutch, a unique salt marsh known for its wild landscape and rare wildlife. After a 2-hour journey covering around 90 km, check in at your wildlife resort. Enjoy a refreshing welcome drink and settle in. After your morning breakfast at the hotel, later in the day, embark on an exciting jeep safari into the Wild Ass Sanctuary, the only place on earth where the endangered Indian Wild Ass can be spotted. The sanctuary is also home to a variety of migratory birds and desert wildlife. Dinner and overnight stay at the resort in Little Rann.

Day 02 : Little Rann of Kutch – Drive to Bhuj (Approx. 260 km / 5 hours)

After a wholesome morning breakfast at the hotel, check out and proceed towards Bhuj, the cultural heart of Kutch. This 260 km journey takes around 5 hours through changing landscapes and local villages. On arrival in Bhuj, check in at your hotel and relax. In the afternoon, begin sightseeing with a visit to the Aina Mahal (Palace of Mirrors), Prag Mahal, and the Bhujodi Handicraft Village, where you can see traditional artisans at work. If time permits, enjoy sunset at Hamirsar Lake. Overnight stay in Bhuj.

Day 03 : Bhuj – Drive to Hodka Village (Approx. 65 km / 2 hours)

After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, check out and drive to Hodka Village, a rural gem in the Banni Grasslands of Kutch, known for its indigenous communities and rich handicraft traditions. The journey is about 65 km and takes 2 hours. On arrival, check in to your traditional mud hut-style accommodation (eco-resort or homestay) designed in the local architectural style. Spend your afternoon exploring the local artisans' homes, where exquisite embroidery, leather work, and mirror art are practiced. Enjoy a cultural evening with local music and storytelling around a bonfire. Overnight stay in Hodka.

Day 04 : Excursion to Banni & Pachcham Region (Approx. 200 km round trip / 4 hours)

After your breakfast at the resort, get ready for a full-day excursion to the Banni and Pachcham regions, known for their unique landscapes, culture, and villages. Visit Dhordo, famous for the White Rann of Kutch, a surreal salt desert especially stunning in winter light. Explore nearby villages such as Ludiya and Khavda, each known for different crafts including pottery and Rogan painting. Continue to Kalo Dungar (Black Hill), the highest point in Kutch, offering panoramic views of the Rann and Indo-Pak border region. Return to Hodka by evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 05 : Hodka – Drive to Mandvi (Approx. 150 km / 4 hours)

After a delicious breakfast at your accommodation, check out and drive to Mandvi, a historic coastal town in Kutch, known for its beaches and royal heritage. Covering 150 km in about 4 hours, the drive takes you from arid desert to coastal breezes. Upon arrival, check in at a beach resort or heritage hotel. Later, visit the majestic Vijay Vilas Palace, the former summer retreat of the Kutch royal family, featuring Rajput architecture and scenic surroundings. End your day with leisure time at Mandvi Beach, famous for its sunset views and camel rides. Overnight stay in Mandvi.

Day 06 : Mandvi Sightseeing

Start your day with a relaxing breakfast at the hotel, followed by a day exploring the charm of Mandvi. Visit the Mandvi Shipbuilding Yard, where wooden ships are still built using traditional methods. Continue to 72 Jinalaya Jain Temple, a beautifully carved marble temple complex dedicated to Jain Tirthankaras. Spend your afternoon at leisure—sunbathe at the beach, try local seafood, or simply relax in your resort. Optional water sports or Ayurvedic spa experiences can also be arranged. Overnight stay in Mandvi.

Day 07 : Mandvi – Anjar – Rajkot (Approx. 300 km / 6 hours)

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and proceed towards Rajkot via Anjar, a historical town famous for its cultural legacy and metal craftsmanship. You can visit Jesal-Toral Samadhi, a memorial site symbolizing love and sacrifice, and explore traditional workshops. Continue your journey to Rajkot, one of Gujarat’s most vibrant cities. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and relax. If time permits, visit the Watson Museum or enjoy shopping for Bandhani textiles and silver jewelry in local markets. Overnight stay in Rajkot.

Day 08 : Rajkot – Drive to Ahmedabad (Approx. 250 km / 5 hours)

After a hearty breakfast at your hotel, check out and drive back to Ahmedabad, covering about 250 km in approximately 5 hours. En route, you may stop for refreshments or quick photo stops. On arrival in Ahmedabad, you will be dropped at the airport or railway station for your onward journey. Tour ends with warm memories of Gujarat’s unmatched hospitality, vibrant culture, and diverse landscapes.
