Classic Bihar – 6 Days

Day 01 : Arrival in Patna

Welcome to Patna, the historical capital of Bihar and one of India's oldest cities. Upon arrival at Patna Airport or Railway Station, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Complete the check-in formalities and relax after your journey. The rest of the day is free for leisure. You may explore local markets or take a quiet walk along the Ganga River ghats for a first glimpse of Patna's heritage.

Day 02 : Patna Sightseeing

After enjoying your breakfast at the hotel, begin a full-day sightseeing tour of Patna. Visit the Golghar, an 18th-century granary that offers panoramic views of the city. Next, head to the Patna Museum, home to ancient sculptures, Buddhist artifacts, and the revered casket believed to contain the ashes of Lord Buddha. Proceed to Kumhrar, the excavated ruins of ancient Pataliputra, the capital of the Mauryan Empire. In the afternoon, visit the revered Takht Sri Patna Sahib, the birthplace of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the tenth Sikh Guru. End the day with a stroll through Gandhi Maidan or a visit to the Bihar Museum, a modern marvel dedicated to Bihar’s rich history and heritage.

Day 03 : Patna – Bodh Gaya (110 km / approx. 3 hours)

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and begin your journey to Bodh Gaya, one of the holiest places for Buddhists around the world. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and freshen up. Later, visit the Mahabodhi Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site marking the spot where Lord Buddha attained enlightenment under the Bodhi Tree. Explore the sacred Bodhi Tree, Vajrasana (Diamond Throne), and Animesh Lochan Chaitya. In the evening, witness the serenity of Buddhist chanting and meditation as pilgrims gather from across the globe. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 04 : Excursion to Nalanda and Rajgir (approx. 150 km round trip / 5-6 hours total)

After an early breakfast at the hotel, embark on a day trip to Nalanda and Rajgir. Begin with Nalanda University, one of the oldest and most renowned centers of learning in ancient India. Visit the ruins of the university, the Nalanda Archaeological Museum, and the Hiuen Tsang Memorial Hall. Continue to Rajgir, a significant site for both Buddhists and Jains. Take the ropeway to Vishwa Shanti Stupa atop Ratnagiri Hill, visit Griddhakuta Hill (Vulture’s Peak) where Buddha delivered sermons, and the Venu Van (Bamboo Grove). Return to Bodh Gaya by evening for overnight stay.

Day 05 : Bodh Gaya – Vaishali – Patna (Approx. 145 km / 4 hours)

After breakfast and check-out, begin your return journey to Patna, stopping en route at Vaishali, an important site in Buddhist and Jain history. Visit the Ashokan Pillar, Buddha Stupa, and the World Peace Pagoda. Vaishali was also the birthplace of Lord Mahavira, making it a revered Jain destination. Continue your drive to Patna and check into your hotel. In the evening, you may choose to explore local cuisine or shop for Madhubani paintings and traditional Bihari handicrafts.

Day 06 : Departure from Patna

After enjoying your final breakfast at the hotel, check out and proceed to Patna Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey. Leave with cherished memories of Bihar’s spiritual depth, historical richness, and cultural treasures.
