Classic Bihar – 5 Days

Day 01 : Arrival in Patna

Welcome to Patna, the capital city of Bihar and one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. Upon your arrival at Patna Airport or Railway Station, you will be received by our local representative and transferred to your hotel. Check-in and relax after your journey. The rest of the day is at leisure. You may explore the nearby local markets or enjoy a quiet walk along the Ganga riverfront.

Day 02 : Patna Sightseeing

After enjoying a delightful breakfast at the hotel, embark on a guided city tour of Patna, uncovering its rich historical and cultural heritage. Start with a visit to the Golghar, an iconic granary offering panoramic views of the city. Continue to the Patna Museum, housing ancient artifacts, Buddhist relics, and British-era exhibits. Visit Kumhrar, the ancient ruins of Pataliputra, the capital of the Mauryan Empire. Later, explore the Gandhi Maidan area, and pay homage at Gandhi Sangrahalaya, a museum dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi. End your day with a visit to Takht Sri Patna Sahib, one of the five sacred Takhts of Sikhism, where Guru Gobind Singh Ji was born. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 03 : Patna – Bodh Gaya (110 km / approx. 3 hours)

After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, check out and drive to Bodh Gaya, one of the most important Buddhist pilgrimage destinations in the world. On arrival, check into your hotel and relax. Later, begin your exploration with a visit to the Mahabodhi Temple Complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where Lord Buddha is believed to have attained enlightenment under the Bodhi Tree. Explore the surrounding monasteries built by various Buddhist nations such as Thailand, Japan, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka — each reflecting unique architectural styles. In the evening, enjoy the serene spiritual aura during Buddhist chants and meditation sessions at the temple.

Day 04 : Bodh Gaya Exploration

Start your day with a peaceful breakfast at the hotel, followed by a deeper exploration of Bodh Gaya. Visit the Great Buddha Statue, a majestic 80-foot seated Buddha made of sandstone and red granite. Then proceed to the Indosan Nippon Japanese Temple, Royal Bhutan Monastery, and the Tibetan Karma Temple. You may also visit the Dungeshwari Cave Temples (optional), located on the outskirts of Bodh Gaya — where Lord Buddha is believed to have meditated before attaining enlightenment. Later in the evening, enjoy some quiet time for reflection at the Bodhi Tree or shop for handicrafts and Buddhist memorabilia at the local markets.

Day 05 : Bodh Gaya – Patna Departure (110 km / approx. 3 hours)

After a relaxed breakfast at the hotel, check out and drive back to Patna. En route, enjoy the scenic views of rural Bihar and reflect on the spiritual journey of the past days. Upon arrival in Patna, you will be dropped at the airport or railway station for your onward journey with beautiful memories of a soul-stirring experience through Bihar’s sacred and historical landscapes.
