Day 01 : Arrival in Guwahati
Upon arrival at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati, meet our representative and transfer to your hotel (approx. 25 km / 45 minutes). After check-in and freshening up, begin your Assam journey with a visit to the sacred Kamakhya Temple, one of the most revered Shakti Peethas in India, located atop Nilachal Hill offering panoramic city views. Later, visit the serene Umananda Temple situated on Peacock Island in the mighty Brahmaputra River. In the evening, enjoy a relaxing sunset cruise on the Brahmaputra (optional) with cultural performances. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Guwahati.
Day 02 : Guwahati to Kaziranga National Park
After breakfast, proceed to the world-famous Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its population of one-horned rhinoceroses. The scenic drive passes through lush tea gardens and rural Assamese landscapes. Upon arrival, check in at your wildlife resort and relax. In the afternoon, enjoy an exciting Jeep Safari in the Central Range of Kaziranga, where you can spot wildlife such as rhinos, elephants, swamp deer, wild buffalo, and a variety of bird species. Return to your resort for dinner and an overnight stay near Kaziranga.
Day 03 : Kaziranga Safari & Transfer to Majuli
Start your day early with an Elephant Safari (subject to availability) in Kaziranga National Park, offering a closer view of wildlife in their natural habitat. After breakfast, check out and drive towards Jorhat (approx. 95 km / 2.5 hrs), followed by a ferry ride across the Brahmaputra River to reach Majuli, the world’s largest river island. Upon arrival, check in at a traditional eco-resort. In the evening, explore the peaceful surroundings and experience local Assamese culture. Overnight stay in Majuli.
Day 04 : Majuli Cultural Exploration – Satras & Tribal Life
After breakfast, spend the day exploring the unique culture of Majuli. Visit prominent Vaishnavite monasteries known as Satras, including Kamalabari Satra and Auniati Satra, which are centers of Assamese art, dance, and spirituality founded by the saint Srimanta Sankardev. Interact with local tribes such as the Mishing community to learn about their traditional lifestyle and handicrafts. Enjoy a cultural performance (subject to availability) showcasing Sattriya dance. Overnight stay in Majuli.
Day 05 : Majuli to Guwahati via Sivasagar
After breakfast, take the ferry back to Jorhat and begin your return journey to Guwahati. En route, visit the historic town of Sivasagar, once the capital of the Ahom Kingdom. Explore architectural marvels such as Rang Ghar, Talatal Ghar, and Shivadol, reflecting Assam’s rich heritage. Continue your drive to Guwahati and check in at the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 06 : Departure from Guwahati
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to the airport (approx. 25 km / 45 minutes) for your onward journey. If time permits, explore local markets for Assamese silk (Muga & Eri) and handicrafts. Depart with beautiful memories of Assam’s wildlife, culture, river islands, and spiritual heritage.
